Plaw Hatch Farm in Sharpthorne is a 200 acre community owned biodynamic farm on the edge of Ashdown Forest. Our farm shop sells raw milk, cheeses, yogurts, seasonal vegetables, fruit and meat produced on the farm as well as bought in biodynamic and organic products.
We are looking for a highly motivated person to take on the role of Shop Manager. You will be responsible for ordering and stock management, product selection and presentation, managing staff, providing information and a welcoming unique shopping experience to customers, as well as being influential in the development and progression of the shop over the next few years.
You have a passion for organic, locally produced food. You love to engage customers and develop relationships. You will have experience of supervising people, food hygiene, managing a food shop and delivering targets. You will have a full driving licence, and be willing to work six days a week. Excellent communication skills, customer service skills and the ability to work as part of our farm community are essential.
